The Astro Megazord is a powerful combination formed from the NASADA space shuttle and the Astro Megaship. Modifications allow these two vehicles to combine into the Astro Megazord, which the Space Rangers use to defend Earth and search for Zordon.

The Astro Megazord is created when the NASADA space shuttle, carrying the four former Turbo Rangers (T.J. Johnson, Carlos Vallerte, Ashley Hammond, and Cassie Chan) and Alpha 6, is pulled aboard the Astro Megaship. After encountering Andros, the Red Space Ranger, he gives them each an Astro Morpher. Modifications to the shuttle and the Megaship allow them to combine into the Astro Megazord. The Rangers use this Zord to return to Earth for repairs and supplies, but they are followed by Astronema. The Astro Megazord is used in battles against Astronema's forces, including Ecliptor, Quantrons, and various monsters.
In Their Own Story
After being pulled aboard the Astro Megaship, the four former Turbo Rangers meet Andros. Though initially suspicious, Andros realizes he needs their help to save Zordon and gives them Astro Morphers. Modifications to the NASADA space shuttle and the Astro Megaship allow them to combine into the powerful Astro Megazord. The new Space Rangers then return to Earth for repairs and supplies, but they are followed by Astronema. The Astro Megazord is used in battles against Astronema's forces, including Ecliptor, Quantrons, and various monsters.
